Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (6556)

I would like to ask my fellow rugby league Expert's what are your view's on the news that super league will televise 10 live matches this is a first time ever.Starting next year with opening game between LEEDS RHINOS v WARRINGTON WOLVES on 12 th FEBRUARY 2022 it will be first time ever for channel 4 in its 26 year history. " A FREE TO AIR SPORT"" AS FOR ME
I BELIEVE IT COULD BE A GOOD IDEA GIVING A HELL OF A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE SKY /CABLE OR WHAT HAVE YOU !!! This could hopefully spread the game away from it's cloth cap northern image ( i hope it does ) I AM KEEN TO READ SOME OF YOUR COMMENTS ......GB

The more opportunities to see SL matches the better. Sky's output remains the same so these are extra fixtures for the viewing public.

It is great news as lots of armchair fans like me cannot afford Sky charges and rely on the weekly update on BBC.

I can't wait to be able to watch full matches on Channel 4.

WHUPS ,, I for one would not give a flying fig if SKY sod off ,because they have been robbing the rugby league for many a score years ,WHAT they pay for showing live super league games is a PITTANCE AND HAD BEEN FOR A LONG TIME . Also the coverage has got worse too. I appreciate football is the leader in sport globally , having said that we have been selling ourselves very short for years ,after it's a live sport and we should be well numerated for it .SO WHUPS DON'T FEAR SKY PULLING OUT MIGHT DO US A POWER OF GOOD ..............GB.

BLOODY HELL CAN YOU TELL ME WHY ??? there is no reason for it at all !
GB.

Maybe the same reason football has a 12.30 kick off. Better viewing figures? Football cannot screen 3pm kick offs on a Saturday in case it affects attendances at the other matches. Maybe rugby has the same rule.
