Mauricio Pochettino

I am not sure my intrusion on the Man Utd board is welcome, but I am puzzled as to why Pochettino is the popular choice of fans, having seen that a Runners up in the Premier League and a losing final in the Champions league is all he has on his CV after 560 games as a manager.
Giving the preference is for a top name manager and having had Van Gaal and Mourinho, I would have thought that Pochettino's inability to bring the best out of arguably the best front three in Mbappe,Messi and Neymar, in world football, would leave him under qualified in dealing with the power brokers in the United dressing room.
My solution would be the same as Wigan rugby,a complete clear out of the old boys club ,Ferguson who must be a distraction for any manager included, and start afresh with the Ajax guy and any new staff he brings.
And also tell any agents to do one until called, because they are a blight on any club!

Hello ( fossil) I would feel your comment's and remark's are more than welcome ,and WHY NOT? They are your views and should be respected ,i for one will respect your opinion's . I don't know if you have been reading these threads i have been one calling for a change at O/T after reading your views i believe you pose some very interesting points on the possibility of going for pochettino . I also welcome your comments on what WIGAN RL have done too. Having been a Ferguson admirer for many.many years i am now coming round to think that maybe he is interfering a bit too much too. Finally i am with you on these fat cat's agents who are spoiling our beautiful game ,as for the next one i'm undecided thus far .. Tonight's game will be very interesting to watch ....

Golden bear,thank you for your comments.I am not as you can tell a United supporter,but not a great admirer of Ferguson either.
I read a book by Michael Crick ,a very eminent journalist and United supporter,called “The many sides of Alex” I think,and it paints a different picture of Ferguson to the popular version.

I was going to ask if you were going tonight? Whilst not blaming him in any way for the current dire situation I think SAF should be kept aside from any decision making. He had his day. It reminds be of when Matt Busby finished, His shadow seemed to hang around OT for a long time.

The game plan was clearly a defensive one G B .
Thought we were luck at times in the first half.
Could easily been down by a couple of goals .
Villareal clearly tired a little which brought on Bruno and Rashy to exploit this.
Perhaps this will be Carricks plan now but a sterner test awaits v Chelsea so we will see.

alan i think if they fall for it the way they did with ogs the season as i see it is over . we need a fresh look at things with more experienced eyes & it,s only for 6 months . it cant get much worse so why not ? .
