I just happened to be browsing the morning's paper ( Sport section ) when out popped an Headline which i found peculiar A premier league football stadium that holds some 55,000 fans and happen to be the current champion's of the said league ,and whom are desperate to win the Champion's League Cup ,played a match on Wednesday this week ,, and guess what the Attendance was????? 55,000 OH NO,NO NO
A PALTRY 38,000 THOUSAND OH AND 62 Surely if this team's goal is to win such a prestige event one would assume they would get behind their team and support them wouldn't they??????? Well, what can I say. A very physical team who came to make their presence felt. They won nearly every second ball and seemed to want it more than wee did. A few of ours looked leggy and not at the races after Saturday. The goals, 1st one, a OG, back header from Max Power to the keeper who had come off his line to collect it. 2nd one should have been put into row Z for a throw in but the defender loses the ball just in play which is laid back for their forward to smash home. Our penalty was stonewall and we had chances before and after to at least grab the draw. Drops us to 2nd in the table and if nothing else will serve as a wake up call. Sheffield were good, their fans really got behind them but we will see better teams. These are the games that will tell us if we are good enough or not.
