It was inevitable... Chelsea had lost a few, but no way they were losing this....ah well, we'll just wait for the vitreous comments like whups's.....so sad.

Before the slanging match gets under way, I just want to say, my commiserations to the Manchester City players and fans.
Such a sad week for the city of Manchester when it comes down to European Cups.
I was greatly hoping for both Cups to end up in Manchester.
But, on a positive note, Manchester has certainly made its mark in the World of European football.
A befitting word to end my post is to sportingly say, congratulations to Chelsea and our thanks for bringing one of the European Cups to England.

Just a question as I have whups on ignore.

Has he shown the same class as I did in commiserating trafford on their loss or has he shown himself up to be a sad, bitter, little chump?

Congratulations to Chelsea on a great win. Pep is a genius of a manager, three Premier League titles in four years and two trophies this season, many League cups etc, etc but why oh why does he insist on playing bizarre formations with players out of position in important games?

it was,nt me that was shouting the odds before a ball was kicked & don gb with his sneering attitude & his back up mate laughing boy were, just like his comment up above. so now they have got thier come-uppance it,s all i,m sorry this & sorry that . he has no class because he,s like all cowards he puts people on ignore because he cant stand the criticism harping on about wot the,ve won as tho no other team has done wot they have . united won the league 3 years running twice has anyone ever mentioned that .am i sorry , i think you know the answer to that .

The berties prove that year after year after year .

Fact is that the berties top players got lost .
Pep seemed lost re selections .
The club according to some who are destined to dominate european football fail again .
It was ever thus .

That's interesting ACS, I assume you mean Liverpool and you are probably right but Liverpool were Johnny come latelies to the success trail. Don't forget that City won a European trophy before Liverpool did (however, Liverpool soon caught up when they won the Littlewood's lottery), and City won a major domestic trophy before utd did.

I know City wouldn't be top of the list (come back in twenty years time ) but does anyone know who is the most successful domestic and international team of all time? My money is on Liverpool.

Awaits replies with bucket of popcorn in hand (the raggies might be conspicuous by their absence).

Now after the dust has settled first of all i have to offer my commiserations to MAN city and to all their loyal fans , it was just as they say a bridge too far, we don't need all this vitriolic as it was equally sad for us losing last wednesday ,it would have have been great for both Manchester clubs to have won a euro trophy each .alas it was not to be so as the saying goes

Too funny! Liverpool started the success trail, United carried it on, City aren't even close... Do a trophy count...... You are nowhere near

Why such vitriol ACS?

I never suggested that City were even close.....yet, as per my statement:
"I know City wouldn't be top of the list (come back in twenty years time )"

I don't know which is your preferred team but I assumed it was Liverpool. As Liverpool are far more successful historically than any other club I assumed it was so.

BTW, City did win a European trophy before Liverpool so you could say that City started the success trail and Liverpool carried it on (or trafford did, followed by City then Liverpool).

Or maybe even PNE then etc etc

Hilarious! The straw graspers have been hoping the novelty would wear off for the last ten years now. Well, I have some bad news for you, our Chairman last night spoke of the owner's plan for the next ten years.

BTW don't you consider it racist to refer to them as "the Arabs"?

Our owners should be called the UAE's or Abu Dhabi's or the "Middle Easterns" and nothing else. Just like the trafford and Liverpool owners are Americans.

Grim, Liverpool have won twice as many european knockout trophies as trafford, according to you lot (whichever way your wind is blowing) that is the pinnacle and you are only half as good as Liverpool.

And no matter how you juggle figures we have won more trophies than the berties OR the dippers .You are being ultra selective .

Embrace it .

So highlighting the fact that Liverpool are twice as successful as trafford in what you yourselves consider to be the pinnacle of footballing achievement is being "ultra selective"

Like I said, with you lot it all depends on which way your wind is blowing or what suits your agenda at the time.

Replied: 2nd Jun 2021 at 19:20

The discussion was about who had won the most trophies .
You choose your agenda and fail to embrace the fact that utd have won most trophies in english football history .
You use the word pinnacle .
It is something your beloved pep was hired to acheive and failed miserably .
Again .
And again .
And again.

And you refuse to accept that Liverpool are twice as succesful in Europe than trafford and to deflect from your bitter angst you attack City and Pep again.

Your diversion tactics are not working. Liverpool's success at your pinnacle trumps a few measly lesser cups according to you lot.

talking about wind blowing i think there,s enough comming from your. and teams who play city have to do a weather report to see which way it,s blowing just for sterling & aguero as they,ll surely go over in the penalty box , just like franny lee.
