Happy 46 th birthday to Ryan Joseph Giggs.
One of the most decorated players of all time and a Utd legend.
Who can forget his wonderful goal v Arsenal in the F A cup game at Villa Park.
A fabulous talent .

I have to concur whups .
But what a talent eh.
Look at the record .
R V N says he knew were to be positioned in the box just by Giggs body movement pre his cross.
What would he be worth today at say 21 .?

if he hadnt changed his name & gone with england instead of wales he would have had a better career i mean after all he represented england at rugby league & football at junior level under the name of ryan wilson.

I can’t find any evidence he represented England at Rugby League and I have never heard it mentioned before. However I stand to be corrected.

broady i know he played rugby league from people who watch the game at that level & his team is wigan unless he,s changed his colours . try ryan wilson. and here it is broady just for you ---- Using the name Ryan Wilson, Giggs captained England at schoolboy level He changed his surname to that of his mother at the age of 16, when his mother remarried, two years after his parents' separation Giggs also played rugby league at schoolboy level. While playing for Deans, Giggs was observed regularly by local newsagent and Old Trafford steward Harold Wood. Wood spoke personally to Alex Ferguson who sent a scout, and Giggs was eventually offered a trial over the 1986 Christmas period.

All that says is he played rugby at schoolboy level. No mention of playing for England. I think lots of people played rugby at schoolboy level. I played chess at schoolboy level.

peter g,
He was quite prolific at drop goals. Once scored five in a game. Finished up playing four games for Springfield Borough.

I agree with you mr Grimshaw he has been a truly remarkable sportsman and may i say a loyal one too, at the same club all his playing career not like some of these so called stars of today all they want is £££££££s no loyalty whatsoever ,i would prefer RYAN GIGGS as opposed to the cheater maradona creep!!!
