Frances Mary, there are many avenues you could explore for information about tracing a relative abroad. The British Embassy in the country where you beleive the person is living, for instance, should point you in the right direction. Also there is the Salvation Army here in this country who will leave no stone unturned for a fee of about thirty quid. There is also the inland revenue who ... if this person has a war pension ... would be able to access his details. The Church also might have records buried somewhere in its archives, if the adoption was in some way helped by them. Keep trying and don't give up on your dreams and let me know if I can help.

Frances Mary there are a lot of people here in England who would have at least some information about how to access records in Canada. You could look here at the link and give Graham Huggan a call or an e'mail. I am sure they would be glad to speak with you, but the secret is don't give up trying. When one door closes another soon opens if we continue to look.

Good Luck
