I'm looking for any information on the Baxter family from Parbold / Upholland.
My mother was Helen Baxter (born 1930) and I'd like to find out more about her family and friends. Thanks.

Yes, Helen's father (Leslie) had the farm at the top of Alma Hill and I'm sure his brothers owned Baxters Stores. Helen had a brother called Victor.

i studied at wigan tech with an ian baxter, that was in 2000, he would be about 26 now, probably head chef somewhere now.

baxters stores was were dingle belles is now it was a big shop in the 50s two brothers served behind the counters , and they had blue vans with baxters stores written on the vans and they delivered to out lying villages.

There used to be a NEIL Baxter lived nr Orrell Mount in the war years but dont remmeber anything else sorry
