Lowe family

hi thanks for letting me join, its much appreciated

ive decided to try and do a family tree. the family in question is Lowe family, ive found various entries via google

james lowe married harriet bickerstaffe in 1895 at st mary church ince, they had several children and maybe more that i dont know,
children names are
elizabeth
moses
mary
martha
ada
arthur
james
thomas
alfred
ernest
they could be an edith and joseph
the family live around warrington road and fir tree lane or fairtree lane
james who got married was a collier and 22 at the time, james father was called james and i dont know what his mother was called, james father was a collier aswell, i think the family moved from ince wigan to colne about 1915-16

can anyone shed any more info please, i was going to join ancestry.com but i think i try here first

i forgot to mention that my grandfather was called thomas, james and harriet many children, can you confirm please that i got all of my grandfather siblings correct as i can remember saying he had a brother called joe and sister called edith

also how far back can you go for the details of john lowe ( a farmer ) and his family

it says above what you posted that he was from harrowgate, could this be harrogate north yorkshire

also does anyone know why theres so many lowes around ince and surrounding area, could they be from john lowe family

I think Harrowgate would refer to Harrogate Street/Darlington Street area.

9 of the 10 children you listed are on lancashire opc baptisms
Lancashire bmd also includes Joseph 1905 and Edith 1907 but not Ada who is recorded on opc site as 1907,is she Edith?
Moses died in 1902

i did find a pocket watch chain and fob which says, wigan & district cricket league, and on the back it says abrahm collery C C winners 1908 or 1909, i dont suppose if wiganworld will have any info
