Can anyone help with who lived at 25 Milton Street Poolstock in 1911. Thank you

Ezra was a chair maker with a small factory by the side of Chapel Lane bridge. It was the start of what would become the Foster, later Foster Len, furniture business.

Thanks gaffer I will take your word for it , it looked like chain to me on both the 1901 and 1911 census and his father had a hardware shop, but looking again I think you are right

Ezra’s son Kevin went on to build the furniture business to a considerable size. He was also a noted restauranteur. Grandson Andrew was until recently the Chief Executive of the Wigan, Wrightington and Leigh hospitals trust.
