Face masks

Reading today in the MEN about Supt J Higham of GM Police is going to send PCS Officers into supermarkets to SHAME people into wearing face masks, She is quoted has saying it is "a guidance not legislation" for the wearing of face masks in shops. The government say its Mandatory to wear a face mask which to me means law but the superintendant says its only a guidance

I also thought it was the law - guidelines at this time are of no use at all

I went into the Asda at Marus bridge, I'm wearing my visor, young mother in front of me was not wearing a mask, an Asda colleague , as they are called now, confronted her and pointed out she had no mask on, This woman then in a' emerdale farm' actors way said with her head wagging from side to side " hey you I've got asthma me, Don't be telling me what to do", The colleague pointed at me and said, " you can wear one of those that, that gentleman has on over there ", I said " hoi, who you calling a gentleman ?"

In 'The Chippy', in Westhoughton, there's a notice saying "ALL CUSTOMERS MUST WEAR A FACE MASK". There's a plastic screen between the customers and the staff. It's not high, I can see over it easily and it doesn't go all the way to the end of the counter.

On the screen is a notice. It says - "WE DON'T HAVE TO WEAR A MASK AS WE ARE BEHIND A SCREEN".

But, like that visor Tom wears, the screen is useless and offers no protection against anything. The wearer of the visor, like the staff stood behind the screen, will be breathing the same air as everybody else - unfiltered.
I can smell them fish and chips boiling from our place across the road, and that says it all. If I can breath the air 50 metres away, I'm sure a screen isn't going to save anybody from covid germs.

I can sometimes smell that stench, what Stuart produces down Bryn Hall Lane, from my house and it's over a mile away from it. If you can smell shit, you'll be smelling covid germs too.

Exactly, Tonker. If you can breathe in those delicate fragrant aromas from far and wide, then you can breathe in anything else floating around in the air.

Thing is, if you're immune, you're immune. If you're not, then you're not. If you've had no symptoms since March then you're unlikely to catch the virus as it's been in the atmosphere since well before then.

I don't understand why people don't realise that it's airborne and hangs there like droplets from an aerosol that you can't see, and a mask or visor is no protection. It's in their homes, cars, shops etc.

There's been too much propaganda and brainwashing over this, and people now need to use their common sense, because those who live in fear, will remain in fear, and this situation has been blown way out of proportion.

I've already said elsewhere that I'm claustrophobic, and if something is put over my face I would panic, but I'm also agoraphobic so I can't be somewhere over-crowded unless I know exactly where an escape route is. When I used to dance, I/we would have to be on the edge of the dance floor, and never in the middle of other dancers and that's why when I go to the shop, I only go at night at around 8.30 p.m. to make sure there are no crowds, but that's because of my condition, not the virus.

Anyway, considering there have been billions of viruses in our atmosphere for the last few million years, human development has become immune to most, except for a few, like the common cold, cold sores on the lips (herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1)), and the good old common or garden 'flu. I've not had a cold for the last six years, I last had a cold sore about 12 years ago, and I've had 'flu three times in my life which lasted no more than two days, but I didn't have to isolate for any of those, but I've been classed as vulnerable, simply because of my age, and I've been furloughed from work since the end of March and it wasn't necessary, not just for me, but thousands of others who have lost their jobs because Government panicked without being appraised of the true information.

Ah well. People will blindly accept what they're told without using logic, so it's not really their fault.

Thing is, it's a little known fact that the Bubonic Plague is still in existence in parts of Asia, Africa and South America, but also in parts of North America as well, but people have been shielded from that knowledge so they don't mask up for that, but many are still infected with it. Luckily, because of modern medicine, they are able to be treated and it isn't the killer disease it once was, which is what Covid has been led people to believe this is, which it is not and has only affected people badly who do have underlying pulmonary, cardiac or other life-threatening illnesses.

When this outbreak occurred in Wuhan, a 1000- bed hospital was very quickly built in order to quarantine people they knew would be affected.

This was not a naturally occurring virus. This was more than likely man-made in some laboratory which had a containment breach and the virus escaped and went out of control, much to the horror of governments worldwide, but it was not significant enough to shut the planet down. The story of bats biting chickens is laughable, being as the Chinese eat bats on a regular basis, and although the biology of bats as vermin has been known for a long time, they're still consumed in Asia.

I believe the same thing happened with HIV, that it was man-made and was never meant to harm, but it did, and it spread panic until it was realised that it could only affect the few, and not the many. People back then wouldn't touch anyone with HIV, believing they'd catch it as well, and this is no different, but now we're told to isolate ourselves from others, which isn't normal.

We are not singularities. We are naturally pack animals, a collective, and humans have a very complex social structure which is being broken down because of disinformation, and from which many will never recover.
