MAY PEARSON

Just heard some sad news an old friend of ours May Pearson has passed away at the age of 84. She used to live at 6 Chatham Street Higher Ince and belonged to Belle Green Mission Church. She moved to Hindley Green with her Mother and Father Mary & Joe Pearson in the 60s then when they passed away she went to live in Sale Cheshire. May she rest in peace.

Could be if they are related to a Norman, Lily or Alice Ann. Their father was a Thomas Rutter their mother was Catharine Taylor. .The Father Thomas was the brother of my Granddad Walter .Thomas was born in 1882 in Queen St and Walter was born in 1884 also at Queen St

I Knew Maureen and Tommy Rutter (Chatham St, Higher Ince) for some time as I worked with Tommy for a few years at De Roma's. They had a daughter - and for the life of me I can't remember her name - she was only a child at the time.

Most of my relatives (at one time or another) worked for Tony De Roma. It was kind of a 'family thing' and it would take to too long to list all their names - so I'll just say that most of the MC MAHON family worked for them!

I cant leave here without saying that even though I only met her on 2 or 3 occasions ... Maureen Rutter was a lovely Lady with a tinge of the old Irish in her blood!!! Thanks and God Bless. johnboy.

Maureen and Tommy Rutter lived in Peel Street Rose Bridge when you would have known them. Their daughter was Anne who sadly died in 2002 but my husband says he thinks he remembers a McMahon living just off Schofield Lane. He said there used to be a guy in the street who used to men watches! is he right?

I only knew Maureen and Tommy Rutter in the 60s and 70s and as far as I know they lived in Chatham St for a long, long, long, long time!!! ... I don't remember them from Peel Street. I am now beginning to wonder if were both referring to the same "Rutter Family" ???

Your husband is correct! It was my Uncle Tommy (Mc Mahon) who lived off Schofield Lane and yes he did used to mend watches - but to be honest ... he 'broke' most of them! Thanks and God Bless. johnboy (Matthew 11:28)
