The Crawford Inn - Crawford Village

Hi I know this is a bit of a long shot but I was just wondering if anyone might be able to help. I am researching my family history and I am really finding it very difficult to find an old photograph of the Crawford Inn pub in Crawford Village. (It is not the one on the canal that became Bridge 63) it is the little pub that was originally the Crawford Inn and at some point changed to the Crawford Arms which was in Crawford Village. Unfortunately it is not a pub anymore and I do have some modern day photos but I would really love to find an old black and white photo. The pub was run by 2 different generations of my family starting in 1899. I know it is a little out of area but always worth a try. Thanks in advance Heidi

Heidi, your average Wiganer won't have even heard of Crawford, never mind a pub that was there many years ago!

I'd try what Gaffer suggested, or Rainford, Billinge, or a St.Helens site even!

Thank you. Yes thats the pub, I have a couple of photos from that sort of time period. At that stage it was The Crawford Arms. My ancestors ran it from 1899 when it was called The Crawford Inn. I would love to find an old photo from that time, but maybe i'm asking too much haha!!! I appreciate you looking though thank you

I got very drunk there one night so the beer must have been ok.must have been 1962
