Ive posted your thread on another forum in order to help. Hope you get it back! Ring the dome to see if its been handed in, or the police station might have it.

did you try ringing the no to see if anyone has picked it up.?i think you might have said goodbye to it but there are still some honest people about so give the cop shop a ring as well.

getwom, once a phone has been blocked you cannot change the sim, it means its imei number has been barred (imei is its electronic serial number) the only way to be able to use the phone is to change the imei number (which is illegal) or use it abroad..... you`ll probably never need this useless bit of info.... Jackjoe if your son gets a new mobile (or if he`s lucky to get his old one back, buy him a neck strap, there only about a quid......

Getwom, a bit more info here for you on account of you losing mobiles in the past, & to anyone else it may be usefull for. When you get a new sim card (or phone with unregistered sim), be sure to register it by ringing or on line, they require name address password etc, if you then @ any point lose your phone you can put a stop on it, not to worry if you find it again or it finds you as you can ring the provider, give your details & they will unblock it, but if you never get your phone back, when you buy a new phone & sim you can ring the provider and keep your old number, so no need to ring round telling everybody a new number, every sim card has whats called a dedicated PAC number so you can carry on an old number, this can also be used if you want to switch networks, ie: leave Orange & go to O2 etc, & retain your old number on the new network.
