THREE SISTERS

Started by: empress (9667)

I've taken time out of work over the summer to spend more time with my kids.I was planning on taking them all over the place on day trips, yet we have spent more time at the Three Sisters than anywhere else.
Its now a gem of a place. It was our playground as kids, no pathways unless we made them ourselves, I used to walk through from Bryn to Stubshaw to see my nan most days in summer.Crossing the field with a hill in it, and dodging the bull!
There are some lovely walks, plenty of benches dotted along the way so you can sit quiet and enjoy the views. The play area is always immaculate and theres always activities on offer.
Feeding the ducks , geese and swans is amazing ,as the fish jump for the bread. To think I used to swim in that as a kid, and come out with feet full of clay. I have a pic of me aged 5 swimming in there with my dad, the trees were just saplings in the background, so its nice to see how mature it all is now.
