lol Hiya XRH, well we get doors opening.....and closing virtually nightly. We also get the westminster chiming clock waking us up early hours........we don't own a chiming clock!Cellar door unlocks(though not too often) it locks with a key. We've heard kids shout mam, on several occasions( not my kids) and the best one was when we had visitors, we were all sat in the livin room and the piano in the back room had a few keys hit...!Folk see a kid and a stocky short fella from corner of their eye, turn but no ones there.I've seen these 2 a fair bit,I've had what felt like a box being dropped right behind me, was nothing there but I felt the impact. Also something shake the bed then hit down hard on it, while I was sat up reading. Its a friendly house. Folk like staying here, so it doesn't feel scarey. The office door does annoy us , as we got a woodburner in and it lets the heat out, it has to have the handle turned to be opened, and you hear it click (usually followed by me yelling leave that bloody door alone!)

Well i never! sounds a bit scarey emp but i bet there is a logical answer to all of this,Your fella doesn't have a beard and chops wood all day long does he,Amytiville horror get it, Oh please yourself. So none of this bothers you or your family then? Have you had any preists or vicars in to see what they say.

Other half did threaten to call a priest lol, but I figure whatever it is, its got to put up with us so its welcome to stay, its a seen as quirky more than scarey I am gonna try upload some pics, if the link on my profile works.?!! Am new to picasa.
I was a complete sceptic till I stay at The Old Hall in Sandbach, room 11, on the summer solstace 2 years ago. Other half believes in anything....I didn't. But look at the 'orbs' I took over 150 pics on 2 different cameras, yet the same orbs showed up. They also showed up on infra red camera fone. The Fireplace has a priest hole behind it, again orbs showed up. It was a lovely place, it had Marie carved into a beam ............thats my name! There were no rattling chains, or wierd noises, and I slept like a top. 90% of pics I took between 12 and 2am, then I fell alseep lol.If the link works let me know, look closely at them. I sent them to the USA to be checked as no one in UK was interested really. The USA sites went mad on them.

back in 1987 we bought a house in Canberra.Australia
often we would hear a childs high pitched laughter.. always seemed to come from the back bedroom..and as there were young children next door we thought it was them playing out in thier garden.. a few weeks after moving in we started experiencing a cold feeling in the hallway and a it felt like someone had brushed by you it was a strange feeling .
then my dau and her family came to stay for the weekend.. they too heard and felt the laughing and the cold feeling... my youngest gr son aged 9 got up on the sunday morning and asked . nan who was that little girl sitting on my bed and laughing?.. i asked him what she looked like . he said she had long black hair funny teeth and big glasses
and she giggled
the following day i went and asked my neighbours who had lived in the house before us.. they told me of the litle girl who had died there she had polio.. had long black hair wore thick glasses and a deformed mouth
later that day when i heard the laughter i went down to the end bedroom .. sat on the bed and said .. hello sweetheart your mum and daddy don't live here anymore .. and if you want to stay you can but i think it would be best if you went to your rest now and one day your mum an daddy will come to you
from that day on we never heard the laughter or felt the coldness again

Many years ago (and I've mentioned this before) upon moving into a new, well, not new but a different house. You could hear what seemed to be whispering, but you couldn't actually decipher it, not only was it heard by me, but others also. It stopped after a couple of weeks.

No chance,i live in the real world there is always an explanation for this stuff.

Then are you in the position to offer an explanation? I'm sure that many of us are interested.

I would have been able to explain it if i

Admittedly, it's a very strange phenomena, but it none-the-less does exist. What was also heard during the brief two week period, was the sound of what seemed to be like crashing timber, but no obvious signs of any damage. It is very strange, you have to experience it.

Molly it wasn't a snide remark, but for someone to claim they told a dead child to go to their rest till your parents join you,
and they went is just stupid, and clearly doesn't have a real grip on life,
or is disturbed.

Seriously xrh, i have read that if you have a spirit that is unsettled for whatever reason, you have to tell it to "go to the light".I think though that you need someone such as a medium to do this.Worked for molly though!Watched it all done on Most Haunted.

xrh59.This is true it happend to me.
When i was 21(1979)I had a hang glider and used to go flying in the Breakon Beacons south wales.Gerry Breen the world champion hang glider and club owner sorted a discount for members at a local hotel called TY-Creso Hotel in Crickhowell(they have their own web site if you want to check it out)I stayed there several times and even had my honeymoon there.I came to know the owner to speek to and had a drink with him and my wife and sister.
One Sat Feb 1979 I set of at 6pm from Ashton. It started to snow very heavy and I spun my car round several times without any damage at all.I got to the Hotel at 10pm and had to leave my car at the bottom of the hotel drive as the snow was about 8-9inches deep.
There was no one staying at the hotel and the only person there was the owner.I had 2 large whiskys with him he showed me my room and said I might have to grill my own bacon in the morning as he was not sure he would be there. He showed me where the orange squash etc was.I paid him in cash and he said he would leave e receipt in the kitchen if he was not there in the morning.I got up at 10am had a drink of orange and left posting the keys through the letter box. There was no receipt in the kitchen but that did not bother me.It was impossible to get onto the mountains due to the snow so I set of home. The next day I got a letter from the hang Gliding club stating that they were having a collection for the Ty-Croeso Hotell owners wife as he had been found dead on the Tuesday before and the hotel was closed and his wife and daughter had gone to stay with relatives till after the funeral.I phoned Gerry Brean and told him that I had been at the hotel over night on Sat he said it was impossible as he was already dead and the roads into Crickhowell were closed that night because of the snow. What do you make of that?
