British justice?
Is it any wonder that UK courts are costing millions of pounds to run. The mad scouser who ran down about 80 people is due for trial in November and it is expected to last four weeks? For God's same why? Hundreds of phone clips showing the crime, why a four week trial when it should be over in an hour!

He was given a one-year community order and a £10 fine. Meanwhile, Wayne O'Rourke is in prison for tweets.

Her husbands company is being sued by the Department of Health for £122 million. The outcome will be decided on the sterility of the gowns. The D of H claims the gowns were never sterilised, the defence claim the the gowns were sterilised but the haphazard storage of the gowns by the D of H caused the loss of sterility.

"Lawyer" is an all encompassing term.
Besides, they don't make as much money as you think in the criminal sector. But that won't fit the narrative

A person was up all night partying and smoking cannabis. Didn't sleep a wink. Got into his bus at 8.00am, fell asleep at the wheel and killed a nine-year-old girl. Jailed for four years. Will be out in two. Our justice system is a joke.

corruption, incompetence and outright stupidity will never be eradicated from and form of government. for example between 1955 and 1975 railways where considered an antiquated evil of no use whatsoever.
costing the country money it could not afford.
so why did some inanely stupid civil service department think up HS2.

What's the building of HS2 got to do with a topic about British Justice

Killing people by driving has never been punished accordingly. Nothing to do with the judges, look to the lawmakers and the sentencing guidelines.

It can have something to do with a Judge if they and any offender are members of the funny handshake club!

Because they were charged as such because of their ages at the time of the offence, according to sentencing guidelines that judges have to follow?
Struggling with this are you? Why not make representations to your local MP about the guidelines being not fit for purpose?
