Andy Burnham could be leader of the Labour Party by October if Kier and Angela receive fixed penalty notices.
According to today’s Sunday Times a witness to the Durham meeting has been asked if he will be willing to testify in court if it becomes necessary. The witness filmed the event which he alleges was a social gathering.

The Tory party must be in a bad state if they can’t come up with an alternative to this proven liar Johnson whose moral standards reflect badly on this country.

I am not blaming all on the strikes and those yet to come but with all this back-biting and sniping , would it not be a good thing to pick the best brains out of the whole 650 who at present are not doing a good job , so what do WW think ? Well GB, I don't think it would work because MPs are all out for themselves. There is not much between them, all they are interested in is keeping their jobs and all the perks that go with it. It has just become another part of the civil service.

What I would like to see is a completely different party, perhaps Reform, with fresh ideas and a return to morals, accountability, stuff all this woke business and, for me, most of all, stop drag queens going into primary schools to read stories to children.

GB

At the time of the wartime coalition government the Labour and Tory parties accounted for close to 95% of the vote.
Nowadays we have nationalist parties in Scotland , Wales and Northern Ireland. Plus the Liberals.
I doubt that anybody could form a workable coalition from such a collection.
The problem with UK politics is that it is full of lightweights and non entities in all parties. Cut the MP numbers in half, double the remuneration ,scrap devolution and get back to serious politics.

Why would he call an election, the conservatives still have a massive majority in parliament, because to force a general election, the opposition, would have to table a motion of no confidence in the government, if the government lost such a vote, then they have to take the issue to the country, and a general election is called, but that is not going to happen is it.

As recent as yesterday, we were hearing the well worn phrase that acknowledgement of his deficiencies were 'priced-in'!

I am so sick of the media circus, blowing trivial matters out of all proportion, all he said yesterday was that he had forgotten something which he had been told some three years ago, and then there is partygate, which incidently was done by the civil servants in number 10, they were getting around the fact that their watering holes in London, had been closed by the pandemic, and they had moved their after work boozing into number 10, and who got clobbered for it ?
Boris copped for it, and why were those civil servants who got fined, allowed anonymity for it, and how many of them resigned over it ?

None ?

If Boris goes, the media circus, will turn on his successor, and if Labour win the next election, the media will turn on Kier Starmer or whoever is leading the Labour Party.

It is '''SO''' pathetic

I believe the best thing for the country is for Boris not to resign and take it to the country with a general election and for the Tory voters to do the same as Labour voters did last time under Corbyn and have a protest vote and vote for the LibDems and the for the LibDems to enter into a coalition with Labour. This may then even take us back to the EU - its one of the agreements that the Lib Dems would sign with Labour. And then hopefully next time I fly into Barcelona I won't have to wait 2 hours to get through passport control.....

Aye and there will be an enquiry into the pandemic and brexit is the worst thing to happen to this country.
Aye and his visits to Ukraine were done for his benefit, when his profile needed a lift.

TTS just seen your question and I will tell you again that I am not a Labour Party member, but even in its fractious state basically it is a more caring organisation for this country and I would vote for them!
And I wouldn’t be bothered if the Labour Party gets rid of Starmer because his support of brexit is against my wishes.

All I will say is "be careful what you wish for" because Labour will probably win the next General Election, and then it really will be back to the 1970s
