BB: They won't. Apparently one officer told a mother, "it's alright, it's like an accessory to have an older Asian boyfriend."

Keir Starmer refused to prosecute these gangs because, he said, it wasn't right to pick on ethnic groups. That horrified me, but that is his party's view. It's our country, our laws, how awful he doesn't see that.

I daren't put down in writing on a public forum what I think BUT I talk about with my friends EVERYONE OF THEM have the same opinion as I have If I stood up in Wigan Market Place and shouted anything anti Muslim. I would soon be arrested and charged.. and told I was a RACIST.. I call it FREEDOM OF SPEECH.. and Could someone enlighten me as we can't now refer to people from Pakistan as P***S ( I cant write the word) a shortened version of PAKISTANI.. Yet there isn't anything considered 'racist' by calling people BRITS. SCOTS. YANKS. SWEDES. AUSSIES????? WHAT is the difference???

wnwanderer: Sorry you think it's a falsehood but the truth is that this was going on for decades and our rulers (of all persuasions) knew this.

From The Times, 24.10.12, in an interview with Keir Starmer, Director of Public Prosecutions.

"A generation of girls was betrayed by the justice system's flawed approach to sexual exploitation, England's Chief Prosecutor has admitted.

Keir Starmer, QC, the Director of Public Prosecutions, said that men who groomed teenagers for sex had escaped justice for decades because police, prosecutors and the courts failed to understand the nature of the abuse.

Mr Starmer has ordered a comprehensive restructuring of the Crown Prosecution Service's response to sex grooming, designed to raise the number of convictions.

The reforms come after an in-depth review of the CPS's initial reluctance to charge men involved in a notorious sex grooming network in Rochdale, Greater Manchester."

This despite the social workers, particularly Maggie Oliver and Sara Rowbotham, banging on doors and highlighting it everywhere.

Keir Starmer was the Head of the Service, the buck stopped with him, he was responsible. He KNEW what was happening, and did nothing.

Then we had "Three Girls" starring Maxine Peake as Maggie Oliver.

And yet, this is still going on. So I would suggest that Keir Starmer's "comprehensive restructuring" hasn't worked.

I haven't mentioned Jimmy Savile and don't see the connection here. I will not comment on him.

@Platty

So KS saying the girls were failed is the same as him saying 'it's not right to pick on ethnic groups'?

And even though he's not been in the DPP role for years, it's still his fault it's happening?

Righto.

wnwanderer: He did actually say that it wouldn't be fair to pick on minorities.

He was in the DPP role when it was happening, and he said he was going to comprehensively restructure the Crown Prosecution Service's response to sex grooming.

The Service he was head of was warned time and time again. It is all well documented.

So it is his fault, he didn't do enough. That is why he has distanced himself from it all. What needs to be done now is for all his failures to be overhauled.

Righto. (Whatever that means).

"He was in the DPP role when it was happening"

Psssttt ***ty?

It all began `happening` in the early 80s. When Starmer was about 20 and at unversity

So on that basis where do.....
Sir Thomas Hetherington KCB CBE TD QC (1977–1987)
Sir Allan Green KCB QC (1987–1992)
Dame Barbara Mills DBE QC (1992–1998)
Sir David Calvert-Smith QC (1998–2003)
Sir Ken Macdonald QC (2003–2008)

All fit in?
