5g

OK, it can be fast.

But it is NOT ALWAYS so.

Just found downloading a book from Amazon (Kindle): it has diagrams, so wanted it on PC rather than kindle reader.

It slowed almost to a stop.

When I checked, the 5g speed was, 0.8 kb/s!!!!

Number sometimes mean little: that is approx. 2% of the old pre-broadband dial-up modem speeds!

5g can be weird.

Yes, I abandoned the attempt to download, and trying again about an hour later, it completed in about half a minute. Optional setting enables phone to usually switch down to 4g whenever that is faster than 5g. So I guess that at the time, 4g must have been even slower.

I do live in a comms blackspot. As commented on another thread, a place where carrier pigeon beat broadband internet!
