Beergate - Keir Starmer Broke Lockdown Rules

Started by: Tommy Two Stroke (15348)

Keir Starmer, and that gob on legs deputy, Angela Rayner are to be investigated by Durham Police, after they were caught red-handed, having a drink and bite to eat

Keir Starmer has already admitted that the reason he committed this 'heinous' crime, was because he was hungry

Yes, and interesting that Durham Police announced this the day after the elections. Perhaps Daisy can explain the double standards going on here.

TTS: I absolutely hope Rayner doesn't get on to the world stage, Britain would be the laughing stock with her sitting at tables with the other elite. God help us all.

Surely, people have got enough sense to realise that partying during the lockdown was not just confined to the Tories, but politicians and members of all parties!

Even some members of the general public!

Durham Police did say that they were not going to announce anything, until after yesterday's elections.

If he AND she get a fine, it will be hilarious watching him and her apologising in the House of Commons, after what those two have put Boris through,, because of him having a cake and a drink

Durham Police don't issue retrospective fines so guilty verdicts will not raise fixed penalty notices.

Come on, are we ordinary people expected to be believe that the breaking of lockdown rules was solely confined to only those who happen to be politicians, members or even voters of the party that happens to be the government of the day.

Not just the Tories who live in isolated country houses these days!

Apparently, leading Labour MP Dianne Abbott has said that if action is taken against Starmer, he should stand down as Leader.

Looks like it is not only the Tories who are discontented with the leader of their party!

Well according to what is coming out now, which is that the event was 'planned' it was ending the day with a curry and beer meal, what is annoying me is the two faced hypocritical nature of Kier Starmer and Gob on Legs, they have played holy hell with Boris over his misdemeanours, but they had been doing the same things as he had been doing.

Bad Tackle that Whupsy

They could BOTH have had a gourmet trough-out!

That is NOT repeat NOT, get it: NOT
the aspect of their behaviour which raises any concern!

Let's have fewer Putinisms, please.

Rio the difference is that Kier has never denied he was there, and I have been to a few parties but never one with a programme.
Owd Codger,Dianne Abbott is a supporter of Jeremy Corbyn who Starmer took out of the Labour firing line. She is bound to say that as she wants Corbyn restored to the Party leadership.
Lisa Nandy was very eloquent in her defence of Starmer this morning.

I am not bothered about the Cake and Pop (Tory) or the Beer and Curry (Labour) I am bothered about the song and dance Kier Starmer has made about it, when the two faced turd was doing it himself

Whupsy:

"it was on the itinary 1stroke"

Yes I heard Lisa explaining that, which was her way of hanging him out to dry, so to speak, because such things were banned at the time, I got the impression that she is lining herself as a leadership candidate, if Starmer resigns, because the other thing is that as a result of last weeks elections, they show that support for Labour in a general election will be very weak, so Labour will want rid of Starmer, but the way the Labour Party is now set up, that can be a very hard thing to achieve, because just look what happened with Corbyn, the way he was elected, and how hard it was to get rid of him.

Labour really do need to sort themselves out.

When I put this topic on, it was done tongue in cheek, with the attitude that the police, the Labour Party, the Conservative Party, and just about everyone else had better things to do, than investigate someone having a beer and a curry, but since I posted this topic, it has emerged that this was a planned get together, not a spontaneous event at the end of a busy day, and at that time, organised gatherings like that were illegal, and that is why my attitude towards Kier Starmer has changed in this topic, Kier Starmer should resign, and in the resulting leadership election, I will give my full backing to our wonderful Wigan MP Lisa Nandy, to become the next leader of the Labour Party, and eventually the next Prime Minster of this country

Actually, I do not find your wording effective nor influential. I only find it projecting a character which not only lacks the education one would expect of an adult but also a character which is quite distasteful in all manner.
You only seem to set out to try and belittle many posters in a way which is extremely immature at times. The negativeness which you seem at ease to cast so freely is a concerning issue, especially when many posters respond with words which show discomfort due to your presence.

If Tony Blair had been leader of the opposition instead of Sir Keir he would have had a completely different approach to the number 10 shenanigans.
At PM’s questions he would have hammered Boris for his part in the the rule breaking and that would have been the end of it.

The last time Labour won a general election, excluding Tony Blair’s successes, you were 19 years old. This suggests that your views on what constitutes a good Labour party died with the last of the Bolsheviks.
