Have any good news to share. I'm sick to the back teeth of listening to the doom, gloom and general depressive news coming from the media.
THE END IS NIGH, I TELL THEE.
My good news is, I have plenty of good places to go and even better people to see this coming week.

Had a request to make stew and dumplings today. Grandson asked would I please put some of that stuff in it that looks like rice but isn't
I thinks means barley

Platty he lives in Truro Novia Scotia, He went there in 2006 and it was a good move, his standard of living has improved by a good amount, his children will enjoy better opportunities, they breath fresh air instead of car fumes, The roads are quiet, the folks are laid back and polite, crime is low, wild life is all around it only has one drawback, Its pigging freezing in Winter but, That drawback for us is his living, he fixes and maintains the snow shifting trucks,

Plummy: Agreed, my son's life is much better there. Wish I'd done it years ago. Only drawback for him is the education. His son was born in 2015 and there is a shortage of teachers. A lot of the education is through the internet, but that has improved ten fold over the years and continues to do so.

Helped my youngest move out of the family home into his own home today. He's the last of my 3 to go... peace and tranquulity for me and her indoors.......no kids at home after nearly 30yrs...no pets to look after... will be giving my static some hammer this year.... I think that qualifies as good news.... well it is for me

Indeed it was. It's easy to lose touch. I hope you carry on keeping in touch with your friend. I bumped into a couple of old friends that's I hadn't seen for a long time. We had a good long chat and decided to keep in touch.
The friendship just carried on as if we had never lost touch. We see each other every week now and go for lunch and do a bit of shopping.
We travel to other towns and cities too. We have a great time together.
We also go on trips away too.

We are all widowed too and knew each others husband's. They are great company.

Not to worry nanaquci. Maybe he didn't realize I was referring to Bazzz., who "Crept out of the Crypt" to impart that little nugget of (good news)
Unfortunately for Bazzz, if that's the only good news in his life, maybe he's more to be pitied than patronised On the other hand maybe he should just "Creep back into the Crypt" he crept out of.

Jathbee,
I meant your use of the word twisted referring to Walshy didn’t give credence to his view. I could have thought of better words. The rest refers to you finding old friends. Not to jump on the boat but I also won £25 on my Premium Bonds this month.

I phoned Direct Line today to have my son on my insurance while he's over here to drive my car,
From May the 9th to May the 27th, So the girl on the phone arrages it all and then says,

" you will receive a refund of £26.50 Mr Plum",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,after I picked myself up off the floor, I asked , " a refund, why is that ?" She said, " I dunno, its odd but, that is what the computer is saying so, enjoy "

totally amazing and anyone beats that, I'll be very happy for them,

Got home recently and had broken the frame on my Maui Jim sunglasses. Went to local optician but they couldn’t repair. I asked about replacement and quoted $250-350. They suggested they return them to Maui Jim. They answered they couldn’t repair the frame but a new frame fitted with my old scratched lenses $65. However they could do new lenses in new frames for $110. Picked them up yesterday.
