Tidy up

Let's have ago on here to tidy the town and estates ,some people dont seem to care how bad its got lets name a few might shame them to do more

The council employ people to do that job. If we all do it they will end up on Job Seekers.

I do my bit of tidying round. And I don't mind it.
When did you last see a roadsweeper with a brush, shovel and cart and also the wagon with the brushes on that swept the sides of the roads / kerbs?

In Blackrod we have a groupe of volanteers on a rota to walk the village at weekends to tidy it

And here in Yorkshire, all that horse muck can be a real problem sometimes.......just ask Tom

I don't think trolls are a religious cult.
I think they belong to an ancient sect called Neanderthals.
And I thought they were extinct, but they have been hiding in the shadowy corners of Wigan World, only to come out, dragging their knuckles

Research shows that Neanderthal genes are present in a percentage of the population. Guess which percentage, eeny, meeny, miney mo.

If you think it is bad in Wigan, you need to visit some of the districts in our big cities where you will find it far worse.

A reason why many who have had enough have moved away to other outlying towns and countryside.

I have got to say the lad who works on Manchester Road in Ince does a sterling job,and yesterday he was cleaning around the bases of the traffic lights at the bottom of Makerfield Way,and using a shovel and brush.
Very often you can see the blue bags full of rubbish that he leaves for pick up.
Well done that man and the council.

Aye, and how far are those traffic lights away from the main Council Depot, where the bin wagons live, and the binmen play darts

When I was leaving church the other day, there was a man clearing and cleaning all round the churchyard and the few gravestones and it was looking very nice. I went and told him what a good job he was doing. The warden then told me he was doing community service!

Cynical remark there tts, give credit where it is due as he does the length of Manchester Road and I have seen him in IGL. I am not sure he is there every day ,but he works hard.

Good on the lad for tidying up the place, inclooding Ince Green Lane, but me cynical remark is directed at the council cleaning services
