Trees a jolly good fellow..

Just watching Morning Live (BBC)…you can see where you’re license money goes…at least 3 big Christmas trees on the set…talk about extravagant..they shoot themselves in the foot continually

Bah... Humbug.... Just off to B + M to purchase a small battery operated tree.... Her indoors says owing to a lack of interest. Xmas is cancelled... I will go along with that.... Bah Humbug..

I know Muslims who celebrate Christmas, not the religious aspect of Christmas, but the merriment of the thing, the having a good time thing, which is what I doo too

Tommy T.S. The vast majority of people in this country don't celebrate Christmas as a religious festival any more. it's feasting and present giving for most of us and it brightens up the gloomy winter a bit

Yes, and I wonder if they still have the nativity plays in school now at Christmas, or as that been banned so as not to offend the muslims.

schools still do nativity plays of course although I think the problem now is covid and letting parents in to watch. Schools also teach about Divali and Eid. it's about educating children that people can have different beliefs.

I'm 73 and when i was at school we were taught about different religions.We even had trips to synagogues and mosques.
