Why don't you put some of them up in your place, until the council can find them a council house

I heard they're moving loads to Ashton because that gets called Wigan a lot. The Ashton MP has quite a few wiganers in her constituency, Hawkley Hall for example.

Hawkley Hall is in Pemberton

Well TTS, you did say Pemberton. But Hawkley Hall's MP is Ashton.

Makerfield actually, and she is my MP too, and the Parliamentary Constituency boundary, in those parts is basically everything to the South of the railway line from Pemberton Station to the River Douglas, at Adam Bridge, and to the South of Poolstock Brook, and Poolstock itself, the Makerfield constituency actually reaches to within 840yards of Wigan Town Centre (Market Place) which I myself think is a bit silly

Yes TTS, I'm a newbie and find it strange, but still doesn't stop the even foreign newbies moving in.
By the way, you will know this, I went to The Range today in Wigan, first time, what used to be there? The streets are cobbled and there is a stone wall, similar to a railway, do you know?

TTS: thanks. That is exactly what I thought because it reminded me of Preston Station. I was told it used to be part of the power station.

I think Daisy's been at the whisky, his post is just before midnight.

Have a look at this map from 1914 LINK for historical info about the railway layout around there

Stick them in Churches as albion suggests.

Whupsy

I am not happy with the 'illegal' immigration there is across the channel now, but there are two things to think about here.

Firstly the 'legal' immigration from the rest of the EU, which there was into this country, when we were in the EU, was in the millions Whupsy, the immigrants landing at Dover now is miniscule in comparison.

Secondly, the fact that the only way immigrants can now get into this country is by boat, means that the security measures which stop them sneaking into this country in the back of lorries etc, is actually working

Yes,, the British did march in and plunder countries, countries which had the natural resources we wanted, such as metal ores from the African continent, we also 'civilised' the natives of that country, by giving them Christianity, and if they objected, then we just killed them.

Not nice Whupsy

But it is history now, as is our participation in the EU

If they don't have a work visa, then they will get deported, and if that happens then they will be permanently barred from that country.
