Nothing Changes
I see our brilliant ex socialist leader saved himself a few quid in stamp duties. What was it he said back when... "The tax system is a haven of scams, perks, City deals and profits"
Then as PM Mr Blair said: "Millionaires with the right accountant pay nothing while pensioners pay VAT on fuel.
"Offshore trusts get tax relief while homeowners pay VAT on insurance premiums. We will create a tax system that is fair which is related to ability to pay."
Don't you just love em.

Very rich??? He has ONLY amassed a property empire worth £38 million since leaving Downing Street. I don’t suppose what he did was illegal. Just found a loophole and exploited it.

It wasn't illegal, Broady, not at all. But he was supposedly against all these financial loopholes when he wanted votes.

When Tony Blair came to power, I think that himself and Gordon Brown had moved the Labour Party politically to the right of the then Conservative Party, and I am serious about that, folk said that the Labour Party had become Tories with red coats on, doo yoo remember that Whupsy, and I remember Dennis Skinner saying in the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, at the Labour Party conference, "we are meeting here this week as Tories"

Seem to remember ( as I lived in the UK) Blair wearing a red rosette and the Labour Party hailing him as LABOUR Prime Minister. My memory must be playing tricks on me again.
