My Son

Started by: linma (2918)

Just had a phone call from my brilliant Son who has just completed the London marathon. He was raising funds for Lancashire Fire And Rescue. I am sooo proud of him. Well done Son.

Good luck in the next one? don’t think I could have done that, even in my younger days.

Jarvo completed many marathons including several London ones. I can't remember reading too many messages of congratulations about his achievements. Funny old world innit.

I wasn't aware of Jarvo's achievements, I have total respect for anyone who can run one never mind a few. He must have raised a fair few quid for charity as Linma's son did too .

Well done both.

Thank you Builderboy.

I did six London marathons: first in 1989; and last in 2001.

My PB still stands at 3 hours 7 mins.

My 10k PB IS 36.37, a time which would see me finish in the top twenty at the Wiggin 10k these days.

Alas, my hurling days are over.
