Is anyone else finding this?

A few years back, there was much discussion concerning food being safe to eat beyond dates marked upon it.

Now, I am repeatedly finding the stuff is going off well ahead of its sell by/ use by dates. Stuff is going mouldy two or three days ahead of dates on packaging.

Especially soft fruit, green beans, tomatoes cucumbers and oranges.

Tesco’s is worst, followed by Sainsbury, then Asda. But also seeing this with independent greengrocers.

Aldi seem to be OK though. Not been able to check out Morrisons, Lidl or Waitrose.

Balls to the date, examine the produce before yoo buy it, look at it and feel it, and you will get an idea of the condition of the product

It's because there's a shortage of lorry drivers!

Anyroadup, you think Aldi are ok? Well, you can't be more wrong!
Most of Aldi's fruit and veg. is going off on the shelves. Always has been. Nothing to do with lorry drivers, really, but a lot to do with the fruit and veg not having preservative and nitrogen sprayed over them.
