STORE'S

Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (6556)

Just been to the Gemini shopping complex at Warrington today, and what struck us was the extra amount of building work's ie more store's being erected in and around there the store we visited was MARKS&SPENCER'S , it's sad really when one consider's we have had to drive all the way to Warrington instead of the one that used to be in our Grand Arcade . IT has been a while since we were last there but as i have said the amount of infrastructure going on in Warrington is unbelievable , one beg's the question why isn't WIGAN progressing at a similar rate?????

Wigan doesn't have any out of town shopping centres on the scale of Gemini GB (nor any redundant USAF bases to build them on) but there has been some recent developments on Robin Park of late......and if memory serves you had a moan about it.....(no surprises there!)

Warrington has also the best cycling routes, I can go cycling from Carr Mill Dam through Sankey Valley, then get on the pennine Cycle route which will take me from West to east keeping off main roads , Eileen Bilton built , industrial and commercial sites with modern housing developments and enhanced it by creating , parks with walk ways and cycle routes for us to enjoy, Sledges team of pot hole fillers and traffic jam creators made things worse and then worsened them worser and claimed good money for wrecking our Wigan,

I hope to make a return trip back to Wigan soon. I miss Wigan so much. I have been dreaming of returning for a visit ever since i sadly lost my passport in Liverpool and unable to sort out my permanent residency in UK. I am now living in Malaysia but always dream of returning to UK permanently. I love my time in Wigan with Mark. I hope Mark would want to come back to Wigan too.
I think Wigan don’t need any huge shopping centres. It is lovely as it is.
By the way, I tried to email Ron recently but received a notification of my email delivery failure. Has Ron changed email address? Hope to get some clarification.

GB doesn't Wigan have big plans to reorganise the town centre by demolishing the Galleries. Such a shame in my opinion as I always thought the galleries were really well designed. This argument goes around, blaming high rents and empty shops.

Warrington gets more funding than Wigan because it’s classed as a new town and has been for 20 years or so
