Tomorrow - Fri 27th Aug - from 11am, the centre is holding a volunteering event.

Anyone interested in volunteering is invited to go along and meet the friendly team.

Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre support both adult and young carers who look after a family member or friend with an illness or disability.

Tonks: There's a clue above you. It says, "Are you an unpaid carer...." "...make a real difference to the lives of unpaid carers"

Platty, unpaid carers often don’t take on the role voluntarily, but because they have no option.

By volunteers, I think Tonker will mean any people who’ll help run the funded project yet don’t get paid:

The local business and voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors have been submitting ideas for projects …

The chosen five will be invited to attend the Let's Innovate event on Wed 23rd March.” (Link)
