well, it's not me, it's normal to take a piece of clothing off when it's so warm, and that's what I did.

The temperature given in weather forecasts is the TRUE air temperature. Nothing to do with wind chill or sun exposure. Thought every one understood that.

why?????

I just said it was warmer than 15 yesterday, it left a mark where my vest had been, so it must have been warm.

yes, Winnie, Saturday was a lot warmer, surely nobody can claim to have had a coat on then, as we had a BBQ.

If you are sat in the sun enough to get sunburn then the temperature would have been well, well above THE TRUE AIR TEMPERATURE the weather forecasters ALWAYS quote. If someone sat beside you at exactly the same time in the shade they would experience the temperature quoted by weather forecasters. THEY NEVER QUOTE THE TEMPERATURE WHEN EXPOSED TO THE SUN.

GOT IT.

another fact is Anne, if there is a cold breeze/draft, you do not feel the heat rays so, the sun burn sneaks up on ya,

If you click on the weather top left under the Wigan world sign this gives you the weather for the day in 3hr sections and gives the temp then under that what the temp is allowing for wind chill factor etc Up to press going to rain tomorrowsave me watering the garden plants.

Yes we know aussie. I have close relatives in Oz and have been in all of the seasons, except your Winter when the weather is unbearably hot and the flies extremely irritating. At least in the part of Oz that I know.
Trust me. I for one have no inclination to live there.
