Nothing on the telly,
Nothing going on,
Nothing to get worked up about,
Nothing by the ton!
Nothing times a million,
Nothing minus ten,
Say nothing to no-one, it's nothing to do with them!

Kathpressy,I hadn't watched Corrie in years, hubby would never have it on,but I've started enjoying it again especially the Tyrone story..I also enjoy 'Vera'. I think she's very good and the story lines are brilliant.

Line of duty for me. And repair shop.
I too like Corrie and I feel like slapping Tyrone and the home breaker.
Yes, I know it's not real

Don't usually go in for binge watching: too much to do to spare hours for TV watching.

This time last year, in the midst of the more complete lockdown, however, I did sort of binge watch, ie two or three episodes in a sitting, the entire thirty odd episodes of 'Breaking Bad'. I did not manage to see ANY when first they aired.

Just acquired a Blu-ray disk of the sequel, 'El Camino', and I sort of feel I will need to watch Breaking bad again to cue me in to what it is all about.

Line of Duty isn’t currently shown over here but once the series has finished showing in the UK all the episodes will appear on Britbox which means binge watching over a few nights if you want to.

I've been watching the old Corrie's - have to to make sense of who is related to who. All those characters popping in and out and don't know who the heck some of them are. Also good to see how rhey have developed these characters over the years.

Classic Corrie and Emmerdale for me too, plus all Police documentaries including Traffic Cops, and The Chase.

Lots of other favourites as well though.

Hi ( PEWFALL ) Please excuse my ignorance when you say you got rid of tv licence tax do i take that you mean you don't pay for a tv licence??? Only i thought it was compulsory that if one had a tv in your home you had to pay for the licence .If what you say is correct i will gladly get rid of my tv licence for i watch a lot on netflix , keen to hear your reply g.b.

Pefall mentioned some time ago about not having a tv licence and if I am not mistaken mollie m also mentioned somthing similar. I was led to believe anything able to receive broadcasts needed a licence. Unless of course the two of them know something I don't .

To be honest I think for less than 50p per day the BBC is excellent value for money?

Anne/jathbee... I like the repair shop.. But I'm getting fed up of that chap who is stealing a living Jay Blades.. He does nowt.. But he's always sticking his nose in at most of the reveals.. Stealing limelight from the true professionals. He's dead weight.. Get rid of him I say.

Agree BillingeB....I first saw him as an upholsterer (not very good IMO) followed by a presenter on Money for Nothing now Repair Shop presenter. Jack of all trades, master of none.

The problem with ' Money for Nothing' is that the rest of us do not have those contacts that er has,

ie 'more money than sense folk' who will shell out extraordinary amounts of cash for the resultant (junk) items.

Perhaps the TV coverage is a hidden benefit for their trade, and is in fact what they are buying, rather than the stuff she takes to them.

I like old things. I have the cash. I like recycling stuff.

But I would not buy that crap: certainly not at those prices.

I have been watching a five part series. It's called 'View Point'
Very interesting insight into how surveillance works, but within a very interesting drama.

Very true ena, it is junk turned into more junk. I do have one or two things I have recycled in a very satisfactory way but my choice and pleasure is genuine antiques.

Reply to Anne:

Yes, you’re right about my mentioning details about TV Licences a while ago (good memory) but not that you don’t need one. It is ILLEGAL NOT to have one if you have a device capable of receiving TV broadcasts, whether it be on a computer, iPhone or by any other electronic means.

I haven’t had a TV for about 10 years now and there was a time when a licence wasn’t required to watch on computer, but the law changed a few years ago. I was confused at the time so I phoned TV Licensing myself and spoke to someone who very clearly outlined the details and said if I could receive programmes, whether they be live or on Catch-Up, a TV licence was compulsory and, even if you don’t watch BBC, your device is still capable of watching their transmissions, so if Pewfall believes he doesn’t need one, then I’m afraid he’s mistaken.

Hope that clears things up. It’s easy to check online though.
