Shoplifter in Aldi yesterday.
Two people, one female one male, both dressed in Aldi uniforms, stopped a man who was just leaving the store in front of us.
The female confronted him and the male was just behind him. The male snatched the bag from him and was emptying it.
The shoplifter punched the male in the shoulder and I thought a fight was about to break out, so backed up away from them.
The male shrugged off the blow and carried on emptying the bag. It was full of children's toys.
The shoplifter tried again to punch the male but again he shrugged it off.
They let the shoplifter leave the store.
I suspect that the male and female were security dressed in Aldi uniform but I could be wrong.
However it was, it was a reckless thing for them to do as we were right behind them and had a fight broke out we could have been caught up in it.

I always thought that they had to let a suspected shoplifter leave the store with the goods before they stopped them.

So these must have been Aldi workers who obviously didn't know the rules.
In doing what they did they put other shoppers at risk of being hurt. Reckless.
