It might have been in the building that used to be white Star carriers,I think it was near the catholic school.

Cindy, you are right, it was the building that later became White Star Carriers. I worked for White Star throughout the 1960s and it was always referred to as th'owd carpet factory. Also, attached was an old chapel that had its entrance on Cale Lane, do you remember that ?.

wigginlad I remember a building on Cale Lane which I thought was the Catholic school, It may have been a Catholic church or possibly combined.

Cindy, the church as I remember was just a few yards down Cale Lane the old chapel I would imagine was next door but when it was retired it became part of the later building that was the carpet factory. White Star acquired these premises around 1958/9
