I remember seeing one of these Identity Cards when I was a young girl.It was in a tin my mother kept important documents in.I think it was my dad's.

Hope you don't mind me turning the document the right way up. It saves craning the neck Albert. Yes I think the document I found was my dad's - it must have been from the war years.

I've still got my old Dads National ID card as well as his WW2 Army pay book. My late Dad was born down Miry Lane in 1923.
