That’s sooooo good Keith. I would love that done on my grandmother’s photo. If you feel so inclined to work your magic she is resting on the Catterall family photos. I’ve often wondered what she would have looked like in glorious technicolour.
What an absolutely amazing differerence that makes Keith. A lovely lady & that beautiful jacket just makes me jealous !
Keith, the transformation from the old print is nothing less than astonishing.
I have no idea who the lady is but I am sure many of her descendants if they are looking in will be amazed and proud.
That's lovely Keith. I like both....the original sepia and the above. How ladies' clothes have changed over the years!
Keith you've worked your magic again. The images seen to come to life. I hope you an oblige Veronica with her request , I'm sure we will all be interested.
Thank you again for all work you do for the site.
We owe thanks to Ron and Brian and all the contributors who give their time willingly.
Thank you all for those kind comments. I have to say results are often as not in the lap of the gods. I’m never sure what the result might be, but I’m always keen to see what happens. Veronica if you’d like to get Ron to send me your email I’ll forward results to you after I’ve given it a go.
Thank you very much Keith I’ll email Ron that it’s ok to give you my email. It’ll be interesting to see how my grandmother looks in life giving colour. I don’t remember how she looked as I would only be a 2 year old when she died.
John Cooper was a pioneer as regards very early photography in Wigan. Originally from Bury I believe he settled here after marrying a Wigan lass. He became Landlord of the Royal Oak pub, Standishgate near Central Park and a “lodger” was described as a photographer, so perhaps he ran the photographic studio for him in Harrogate Street since I very much doubt he would have had time to do the work himself.
