What a lovely-looking lady. Someone with the surname Sutch used to put a lot of photos of buses from the Platt Bridge area on Wigan World, but I can't recall his first name.

What a lovely looking girl. So fresh and innocent looking Dennis.
She certainly didn’t need all the make up girls use today.

That would be Tom Sutch Irene.
They both came from the same family, originally from Skelmersdale.

Irene, there was a Peter Sutch in my form at HAGS, he was from Platt Bridge.

Thankyou Dennis and Elizabeth, It was Tom Sutch who put the bus photos on....I recognise the name now , but he may have been related to Peter Sutch as he came from Platt Bridge and Tom's bus photos were of buses in Platt Bridge.

I remember a David Sutch from Hindley. He used to play the drums. I wonder if he's any relation?

All these Sutch’s go back to two brothers who came from Skelmersdale, Peter Sutch and Robert Sutch. Peter moved to the Platt Bridge area and Robert moved to Aspull
They moved to work in the mines.
Ethel Sutch was the daughter of Robert and was born in Aspull. She married Joe French and Ada was their daughter.
Ada married a cousin of my father, Francis Seddon and they had nine children.
Three of Peter’s sons moved to America and there are descendants of those still jiving there, one daughter went to New Zealand and she has descendants still living there.
Two sons and one daughter stayed in Platt Bridge and some of their descendants still live there.
