Thank you so much John,the photo takes me right inside The Pav. with my dad who would take me there to watch the Tarzan films nearly 60 years ago.

I remember watching Charlie chaplin fims here along with my brother. My Dad told us when they demolished the Pavilion thee was a very deep mineshaft underneath it

When they demolished the Pavillion there was plenty of mine workings found Including workings there was no record of going back hundreds of years. What a great looking building the Pavillion was Alas demolished (Like all the other buildings) to make way for the "International Olympic Size Swimming Baths" Well... the "International Olympic size ,( less 2" ) Swimming Baths. Soon to be demolished.. Enough said!!!!!!
