Yes Carol,that's mum and the other lady was Evelyn Whittle who lived at No.6 before you did.The boy is Colin,her son.The older lady was from the flats in Silverdale Avenue.I can only guess at the year as Colin looks about 7 or 8,making it around63/64.

do you remember ken & beatrice hutchinson used to live at number 2, well david there son lives across the road from me in the lane, both of his parents dead now.

Funnily enough Gerry,my sister and I were debating her name last week and came to the same conclusion.May Rigby the lady just to the right and in front of her was a neighbour of hers in Silverdale. Happy I got the photo on site for you.

the lady Mrs Mawdesley must be my husbands great grandma, (paul Armstrong) his mum Dorothy Mawdesley and married Jack Armstrong, lived on Belle Green Lane her Mum was called Dolly Mawdesley.
