The Hall during restoration. The exact date is not known but Mrs Edward Clifton who succeded to the hall in 1860 spent £17,000 on altering, restoring and rebuilding the Hall between 1860-62.
The old hall is to the left, this burnt down in the early part of the last century. The building in the middle of the picture is the barn (formerly the hospital club) which still stands today but would be obsucured by the 'bridge' section which was built after this photograph was taken.
The new hall is to the right.

I lived in the dower house to Wrightington Hall named Lake House. Major Rupert Gerrard lived in it before us. His parents lived in the hall.
