Wll spotted, and I think the pub was still open in the early 1980's On this photograph the pub appears to be boarded up.

oct 1980 the metro came out, and the Cortina looks new ish they came out 1980 too. the mkv or Cortina 80 to give them their official title

I seem to remember this pub and the row of shops that went up to Wallgate bridge on the same side were starting to be demolished late 1979
