I can't definitely place it, Ron, but there WAS a club in Bickershaw that was known as both "The Colliery Club" AND "The Cricket Club", and I have attended a few wedding receptions, 21st birthdays and Christenings there over the years. Abram and Bickershaw are very close together. I'm not sure if it's the same place as on the photo and I certainly don't recall the "pavilion" type building.....it was more like a Labour Club so could have been the building on the left but I can't be sure. It was at the bottom of Bolton House Road in Bickershaw but was demolished years ago.

That’s definitely the Cricket Club at the bottom of Bolton House Road, Bickershaw. My Dad used to play for the team back in the day.

You are right Dave it is down Bolton House Road. There was also a Rugby field behind it Where Bickershaw Hornets played. They took part in the early rounds of the Challenge Cup many years ago. At about four years old I ran round on the field when I lived at Bickershaw.
