Presumably this is Hattons garage which was on Wallgate, on the site which became B & Q and is now Go Outdoors. I seem to recall when it was first opened it was still under the Timberlake's name.

Was it Hatton's before it became Baldwin Timberlakes ? I remember when it closed it was redeveloped and became B&Q.

25 pence at litre back then or just over a £1 a gallon. A petrol pump attendant filled up you car too.

WN1 Standisher. Hattons took over Timberlake's. When they moved from this site they moved to a site just the other side of Skew Bridge at Newtown going towards Goose Green. It is currently a BP filling station cum Spar outlet.
