This view is of Upper Dicconson Street along with the Tudor style British Legion Club.

The vehicles, two Mini vans, GTC982B?, Volkswagen Beetle, Vauxhall Victor FB, Hillman Avenger, Hillman Minx, Vauxhall Viva HB, Triumph 1300, Austin/Morris/MG/Wolseley/Riley/Vanden Plas 1100/1300, Morris Minor. The Hillman Avenger was introduced in 1970 so the photo couldn't have been taken in the 1960s. I think I remember Blundell's, was that a furniture shop? What is the white building, Royal British Legion?

The British Legion was the venue where R.A.F. (N.S.) Association held their meeting, years ago. Attended on many an occasion. Travelling from Blackpool. It was a really good venue.

Mr X your knowledge of cars is amazing but are you sure it is an Hillman Avenger next to the Vauxhall Victor? I don't remember a twin headlight version of the Avenger and think this might be it's larger sister , the Chrysler 180, but could be wrong.

Blundell's was a furniture shop Mr X and later it became a photography studio, no idea what it is now as I haven't lived or been around that area for twenty odd years.
