I remember this shop as well.I have been in it with my Auntie Annie, when I was a little girl.I was in awe with all the sparkling jewellery.

My late sister's job, aged 15, was with Nimans. The TV shop it became was Rumbelows.

Yes shops still closed then, but another one opened. It didn't end up like a ghost town, like it has now.

This shop is now Subway.

Around 1904 this shop was a jewellers belonging to Farnworth and Sons.
