Taken a few months after the previous pic, to record the recent revamp of the shop front. It shows a bit more clearly that this was an end-of-terrace property, and faced with fancy Accrington bricks. Also a bit more visible is the entrance between the two shops to the flat above the PO. The shops in Frank Orrell's pic look as if the access to the living rooms above is within the shops themselves.

There used to be two telephone boxes on the gable end of the Post Office.

My paretnts rented the flat above from when i was born until i was 8 years old (1970-1978). If you dont beleive in ghosts, then spend a night in this place and you will definitely have a change of mind! Definitely haunted!
P.S. The previous picture a post office isn't the Lower Ince one (no access door to the flat on the left)

Not sure about it being haunted but do seem to remember a chap called Graham being the postmaster. Think he was a footballer, possibly with Bolton, before he took this shop.
