These lovely locomotives were often seen on the Manchester Vic to Liverpool Exchange route. There were quite a few named in this class. But they were still classed as 'visitors' from the Eastern Region. A few did specials on Grand National day from places like Leeds, Bradford and Newcastle.

They are just like large mighty living creatures, in the throes of death. What a great service they did for our country. Especially during the war years.

Gerry, I think these are the streets that lead up to the back of Ince Parish Church, in Ince Green Lane, someone will put me right, if I am wrong.

sorry albert but the line into ince station is raised up i lived in farmer st and have scrutinized this section for 50 year i know sad innit
