These Ince photos are lovely, Stuart. The houses/shops in the far background would be on Manchester Road, and look at the tall chimney smoking behind the buildings.

The lady's dress, hat and shoes are almost certainly 1920s; definitely not later than very early 1930s.
My Mother May Jarvis ( nee Owen ) was born in 1913 and I understand she was 16 years old when this picture was taken.
