The labour clubs called it the Childrens outing, here happy familys smile as they wait for the train to take them to Southport.

The shelter in the background was still there a few years ago, I seem to recall it was eventually taken to a museum. does anybody know anything about that?

im there again in the middle of the picture.my mam is to the left of me in front of the boy with his arm up. can,t see my brother but carol sharrat is on the front row in the striped blazer.
