I used to work for greens butchers what a place hard work but what a laugh worked with some lovely people.
Greens Butchers, Wages very poor, Johnie Green, tighter than cramp, I worked there for a long time, He would not part with a sausage. Plenty laughs when Green was not around.
Never had a decent beef sausage since Greens closed what happend to the recipe ?
To Ron Padmore, You never even had a beef sausage from Greens as they only ever made pork sausage, not much of a memory,
Was this Frank´s butchers? he was a really good man and helped my dad feed us when he first became a single parent. Wonderful memories of him.
Sorry Harry my memory is perfect got the beef sausages from the shop in Mesnes road.Greens beef sausages.
