Believed to be wedding of Jack Pennington to ?.....Arthur Pennington (father) with gloves to left of bridesmaid. Penningtons were well known painters and decorators in Higher Ince. Jack died suddenly in BHS Wigan. My Dad Jack just visible to right of bride and my great-aunt Sarah Langford of Crow Orchard behind bridesmaid. Sarah used to clean the two chapels in Ince Cemetery. Grateful for any further information.

Sarah only just seen your comment after all these months. Sorry. Not sure it's the same Sarah. This one only had one son, Benny. Wasn't aware he had children but maybe I'm wrong. This Sarah lived at Crow Orchard Lower Ince.

This is my Mother and Father's wedding. The person who recognises his Father Jack must be my cousin John Picking the artist living in Italy. Who got hold of this photo??I don't recognise the name Neil Cain.I was born in 1938 so it must have been 1935. My Mother was born in 1910

Jean, only just seen your comment. We are not related. I have this photo as my father Jack was best friends with Corny Pennington, Jack's brother. They stayed in touch after Jack Cain moved away and Corny and Alice Pennington moved to Hindley Green. My dad used to watch Wigan rugby with Jack Pennington and told so many stories about him and their escapades.
